Christmas '09

We had an amazing Christmas this year. Spencer and I flew home to Idaho on Dec. 21. Dave was able to join us a day later. It was so good to spend some much needed down time with the fam. I am fighting a nasty cold right now so I won't write much...but I have already delayed too much posting the pics...so here you go!
I love this picture more than words can say. Spencer and Cousin Jordyn. I love this girl and she was so good with Spence. They are going to be great friends.
Spencer with his great-grandparents.
Favorite uncle Jarem
Cute Cousin Kasen---11 days younger than Spencer
Grandpa holding the babies on Christmas Day. We didn't pose them, I promise.

Jarem thinks it is fun to force Kasen to pick on Spencer...as seen here. Good thing Spencer is such a well behaved baby.
Spencer's Four Month Photo Shoot---I am so glad this one turned out...he is beautiful (if I do say so myself).

My beautiful sisters with Kasen
More 4 mo photo shoot...

Hope you all had a safe and merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas!!!!

This year for Christmas we will be in Idaho!!! I am so so so so excited to go home and see the fam. I get to meet a new nephew and I get to show off my perfect little man! This year, I decided that the plane tickets would have to take the place of presents. My poor husband is so sad. He truly loves presents. We leave on Sunday and I still have a thousand and one things to do! I am wrapping up my work so I can leave it for 2.5 weeks which is taking all of my extra non-baby-holding time. SO, certain things have gone by the wayside this holiday season including Christmas Cards. Last week I tried to get a great pic of the boy to send to everyone. None of the pics turned out to my liking so they are going here instead :). I wrapped a box and made poor baby pose inside...you can see his joy...I love being a mom! How did I get such a patient baby? Who knew babies could even be patient! All I know is I am already learning from this little fella.

SO---Merry Christmas!!! 2009 will be remembered as being a very eventful year! We have so much to be grateful for. Early in '09 The Great Owensboro Ice Storm made us grateful for electricity. The damage to our home allowed us to do some much needed home improvements which was most convenient since after what seemed like forever, we finally got pregnant!! We were so anxious to meet our little man and Spencer obliged by making a five week early appearance! I still can't believe how amazing our friends and family were when he came so early. I will never forget coming home to a clean and painted house! The lawyers and judges were amazingly accomodating and supportive of the time we had to be away from Court. We are truely blessed with amazing frineds. Spencer made us a family. I have never been so happy or so satisfied with my life. I love being a mommy!!! And I am very grateful to my sweet husband who works very hard to that I can stay home with our baby (most of the time :)). Good Year 2009--here is hoping that 2010 brings as much joy!!!

Home Office

So, I have been working from home for almost 3 months. It has been going so well! I have taken over the kitchen table but at least I have designated square footage for that tax writeoff! Spencer has been patient with me (which seems to be his MO). There is a chandelier above my head which he stares at while I chat with clients and draft docs. He is a good sport.

New Jersey 2009!!!

Total Miles Driven: 1,907
Total Hours in the Car: 37
Total Hours in New Jersey not in the car: 36

We are SO flying next year!!!

Dave was amazing! He drove the whole way. I was mostly in the back seat pumping and entertaining the baby.

Grandma Farley and Spencer

It amazes me how much Dave's family looks alike.

Since he spent so much time in the car, I thought a pic necessary!

Grandpa Farley and Spencer and great friends. I found Jim laying on the floor talking to Spencer during tummy time. Melted my heart.

Auntie Kate LOVES Spencer! He is a lucky little boy.

Uncle Erik wasn't so sure he wanted to hold the baby...

Three Months!!

We are headed to New Jersey tomorrow to spend Thanksgiving with Dave's fam. Dave's fam is so great but they live way too far away. I am dreading the 14 hour road trip. Spencer is an amazing baby but he doesn't like his car seat and he clearly prefers to be held...should be interesting. I am nervous. I will be pumping and feeding him from the back seat of the small suv I insisted we rent. (jetta's are way too small!). Hopefully all will go well. I am very excited to take advantage of my sister-in-law's skills with a camera.

My 3 month post is a few days over-due but the pics were taken on time! I work so much from the computer that by the time I get around to posting I am completely over it...Hooray for baby pics! So much better than words anyway!!!Took pic of sleeping babe from my phone...as my mom would say he was talking to angels...i3 months!!

My beautiful boy.... we woke up this morning and the light was just perfect. He didn't mind posing for a few pics before breakfast...
I even caught a smile!
getting dressed...

I took this pic with my phone and although the quality isn't great, it makes me laugh. Hard! Love it!
